How to Make Reservations
Reservations are required for all group visits to the Aquarium and for all Education Programs. Group reservations must be made by contacting Central Reservations at 202-789-AQUA (2782) and are based on ticket availability, so please call ahead. A minimum $75 deposit is due three weeks in advance of your group visit. There is a cancellation fee of $75.
Important Information About Your Visit
- Your Aquarium visit is self-guided.
- No food or beverages (including box lunches) may be brought into the Aquarium—storage is not available.
- Running, shouting, and any disruptive behavior is not permitted within the Aquarium.
- The National Aquarium is located in a federal building. All visitors have to enter through an airport-like security screening system. For your convenience, we recommend limiting large and heavy bags, including backpacks, to ease access.
- There is no waiting area in the Aquarium. Groups are not allowed to wait in the upstairs lobby or on the stairs for their buses. This is being strictly enforced. Please call the bus at least 10 minutes before you are ready to leave to come and pick up your group, or make arrangements for the bus to meet you at a particular time.
